Sunday, May 8th...Mother's Day

We left Clinton, MO around 10am and arrived in Story City, IA at 4:30p.  Things went very smoothly...except for that little hiccup we had as we driving through Des Moines.  We were driving down Interstate 35 and Dale noticed something flopping around at the rear of the trailer.  About that time someone pulled up along side of us and was waving at the rear of the trailer.  Dale pulled over and put on the flashers..cars were wizzing by like crazy.  Apparently one of our bicycles that were hanging on the back of the trailer had come loose and was flopping around.  So he got that secured and off we went.  I was a nervous wreck...Dale was as cool as a cucumber.  I could just visualize bikes flying all over the highway.  We found a very nice park to stay at....Whispering Oaks RV Park.  It's very windy here, I think a storm is in the forecast.  We are planning on making it to St Paul, MN tomorrow.
